Welcome to American Legion Post 440 located at 41 Linden Ave in Newtown, PA. We are actively involved in our community, and committed to veterans from ALL conflicts and their families. Since we've been around for one hundred years, we have collected a huge quantity of resources.

We are over 220 members strong, and of course, we are always seeking new members. If you are a veteran who wants to hang out or chat with your brothers and sisters who were there—or even if you are just interested—please contact us, ask a question, or better yet—come down to one of our meetings.

ALL veterans are welcome. We are still serving our country.

Tuesday, November 4-Election Day.
Wednesday, November 5@1930 Executive Committee Meeting. All Members are welcome to attend.
Monday, November 10, Veteran's Day Events (Veteran's Day is Tuesday, November 11 but some events will be on Nov. 10)
Monday, November 10@0930-Goodnoe Elementary honoring Veterans. We need members to attend. (Commander will be unable to attend.
Monday, November 10@1030 The Birches in Newtown-SAL Adjutant Jules Ferraro will lead a color guard and perform flag folding ceremony. We need members to attend.

Wednesday, November 12@1800-Legion District 9 meeting, hosted by Post 440. All members are encouraged to attend.
Sunday, November 16-0900 to 1200-Rotary Pancake Breakfast which pays for Memorial Day Expenses. Upstairs at the Post $12.00 per person.
Our 2026 Post 440 is doing very well! We now have 139 Members renewed for 2026! Our Goal is to have ALL members renewed by October 31! Let's get 'er done!
